Activities Galore! Do not let the February Blues get a hold of you. I maintain that the busier you are, the faster time flies. Therefore, if you are not a fan of winter, come join one of the community activities. Get involved. Our programs need you. Get your Sweetheart and bring her/him to the Valentines Dance on Feb 10th at the Apsley Community Centre. This is a dinner and dance put on by the Apsley Lions Club. Watch for details. The Apsley Lions Club annual hockey tournament takes place on Feb 17th at the arena. Come out and enjoy some quality hockey. The Apsley Skating Club will be holding their annual Skating Carnival on Sat Feb 24th at the A.C.C. This always proves to be a popular event. The Annual Winterfest and Trappers Carnival will be held March 3rd at the Apsley Community Centre. Paul Tucker has been working hard with his committee over the last few months ensuring that there will be lots to do even if there is a lack of snow. This is lots of fun for the whole family. Watch for details. The Annual Apsley Bulls hockey tournament will be held on March 10th and 11th this year. There will be Public Skating held daily from 12-2pm through the March Break excluding Friday. Friday Public Skating will be 7:30 - 9:30pm. With the cooperation of Susan Matthews, School Principal, and Chris Tucker, School Custodian, the Parks and Recreation Department was able to secure the school gym for 3 nights throughout the week for the purpose of sport programs.
