One of the difficult challenges faced by churches is to provide a safe water source and comply with ever changing government regulations. This transition has taken several years at Trinity and involved many man hours of work. It has been a costly and frustrating road. The person who took charge of this operation was Henry Wagner. His experience at MNR provided the knowledge required to have the system running in accordance with these regulations. He has spent a lot of time working with dangerous chemicals. Trinity United thanks Henry for this work and also his wife Deana who takes water samples monthly for testing. Reminder - All school children - Trinity Vacation Bible School - Aug. 20 to Aug. 24.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different, results. Many people want change in their lives, but they don’t want to change. They want everyone else to change their boss, their wife, their parents and so on; never, ever thinking they could be the problem. Well, if you throw a ball up in the air it will come down it does not matter how many times you do it, it will come down every time. It’s a law called gravity. People come to me all the time with their problems and tell me they want help, so, I’ll give them the best advice I know, which may not be a lot, but almost always would suggest that they’ll have to do things differently than the way they were doing things. It usually requires an uncomfortable adjustment and if they want to get different results they have to do things differently. Let’s use cooking for an example, now personally I don’t cook much but I know enough that you have to follow the recipe. Then, when you do what is says, put all the ingredients in, turn the oven on to whatever it requires, leave it in for 20 minutes, you are going to get exactly what the book says…as long as you did what it said. You know, it’s the same in life you don’t have to know everything; all you have to do is listen and do. We all could stand to do more listening than taking! There are people in each of our lives, that know a lot more than you and me and many of them would be glad to help. Crazily, people think they are weak if they don’t know everything and have to ask for help. Have you ever received a gift that you had to assemble? Well, I never look at the instructions, I just put it together and then when I go to use it and it won’t work then I am forced to read the instructions, take it apart and reassemble it the right way. By this time it has taken twice as long, and you know, we are only here on earth for so long we don’t really have time to do everything twice?! Seriously, if you want to make a difference in life, do things different even if you have to crush your pride, do it! The biggest change came in my life when I realized that I could not do it on my own and I turned to the Lord for help. And help he did! He is on your side wanting to help. The easiest thing you could ever do is turn your ear to the Bible and do what it says. It will transform your life and give you a purpose. Lots of people ‘try’ God when things get rough, but never really do what it says in the Bible. They want God to change their situation, but want Him to do it the way they want, and that is why things don’t change for them. People ask me all the time how come I always seem to be happy? My answer? How could I not be happy when life is great in every area in my life! That does not mean that trouble never tries to come my way, but when you do what the Bible says you always win. You see, I don’t know a whole lot but I do read the Bible and do my best to do what it says not just when I feel like it, but especially when I don’t feel like it. And when I miss it, I just repent and keep going. Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you will be willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land.” You see, the Bible has a lot to say about marriage, family, work, money, faithfulness, health and so much more. If things just don’t seem to be working out for you, do it God’s way. It will work! You see, there are many miracles in the Bible that God did for his people and all they had to do was what He said and it worked. Many laugh at the Bible and laugh at me but I am not concerned about what people think I care far more about what God thinks and I am not ashamed to be a Christian. God has been so good to my family and me and that is why I tell so many people. Many people want what I have, but they don’t want to do what I do. Serve God, He will never fail you. Begin to believe today and make a choice that you will be serving him until you die, and you will get great results. My God is great!

John
