Canada Day

Apsley Lions Club

Thanks from the Apsley Lions Club and the Beautification Committee for the great support we received from the community. The Parade can only be a success when everyone participates and what better event than a celebration for our wonderful country! It was a great success.

The bands from Havelock and Bancroft were exceptional and the floats covered many interesting subjects, Special thanks to the Magia Negra from the Toronto area for their participation again this year. Everyone enjoyed their performance. The celebration in the Lions Community Park went well, considering this is the first time this committee has worked on the games.

The Musical groups in the hall had everyone tapping their feet and even dancing. Special thanks also to Lion Darlene and her committee for pulling it all together.

The Lions sponsor the Parade each year and they hope you enjoyed it but they are always looking for new ideas and suggestions (or complaints). Drop a line to Box 325, Apsley K0L1A0, and let us know your thoughts. It was a great day!
