Congratulations Gail
By Sandy Zimmerman

At the Bancroft craft show, held in conjunction with the recent Gemboree, Gail West, the English Potter, continued to gain recognition for her craftsmanship. With over 50 exhibitors, she won an award for "high quality of work." Gail, whose showroom will be open during our own studio tour this Fall, is delighted to be able to work in her chosen field. Her works, in turn, delight the rest of us with their originality and whimsy. It’s wonderful to have so many talented people in our area – and great to see that others are acknowledging it as well.

Trinity United Church
The rain stopped and the sun came out just in time for Trinity United to hold their annual Dinner. This is a very popular event featurting a delicious meal of beef, pork and homemade pies. For those feasting outside there was the music of accordion great's Betty Jewel and George Shultz. This event is a major fundraiser for the Church and takes many hands and lots of work. The ladies, under the leadership of Lois Haines prepaired much of the food and served it to the many people who attended. We thank all those who attended and the many who helped out.

Everyone is welcome to come to the creek side service Sept. 12, 11.00 am.
