ABBA MANIA!

On Friday Sept 3, 2004, the Apsley Community Centre will be hosting a live music festival, featuring three amazing tribute bands.  AbbaMania (Abba), Stayin’ Alive (the Bee Gees) and Solitary Man (Neil Diamond).  This is a licensed event.  Ages permitted for this event are 19 and up unless accompanied by an adult.  Show starts at 8pm.  Tickets are available at Wilson Building Supplies in Apsley.  

It’s Back to School time and that means time to register for Hockey and Figure Skating.  To register for Apsley Minor Hockey please call Kelly Parberry @ 656-2169.  To register for Apsley Figure Skating please call Karen Challinor @ 613-337-5587.

ATTENTION COTTAGERS

festive bird     The North Kawartha Food Bank, serving Apsley and the surrounding area, ask you to help by donating your left over canned and dry food products from your summer stay. Donations can be dropped off at the Food Bank during the regular Food Bank hours of Tuesday or Friday from 10 am to noon at 175 Burleigh Street. (Beside the library) or at the Wellington Street Gift Store, Pat Quast Hairstyling or the Royal LePage Real-estate Office. For more information please call the Food Bank at 656-1748.
