Sally and Leona were in attendance, and will likely prepare a detailed report for us. The trip to Hull Quebec Sept 29 and 30 is a go. There is still space on the bus. For those travelers who have not forwarded their payment to Fred House, kindly bring you cheque to the Seniors meeting on Sept. 7th. Bazaar tickets for the quilt are still available. Stubs and payment for any books which have been sold can be returned anytime. Again the 1st Dinner meeting September 7th. Linedancing September 8th. New members welcome. |

The imaginations of 26 children were fired up during six weeks of fun
and fantasy at the Library and Learning Centre during the Dragons, Books
& Quests summer program. Scorch sightings, exciting stories, interesting
crafts, a visit from a real dragon, the development of the Dragon Examiner
newspaper, and a costume party were some of the highlights of the six-week
program. Many thanks to all the fantastic volunteers.
Story time at the Dragons, Books & Quests summer reading program. Monthly Lecture Series Travel the world in the comfort of the Library by attending the Routes to Learning Canada (formerly Elderhostel) presentation on Thursday, September 16th at 7:00 pm. Attention students and parents… Do you need some extra help with reading, writing, math, French or other schoolwork? The Library and Learning Centre offers private tutoring with trained tutors. Call Pat or Katie for more information. Remember: computer use for research or homework is always free and we are here to help you! Computer Courses Learn computer basics or upgrade your skills by taking a beginner or intermediate computer courses in a relaxed environment. Six-week courses will begin at the end of September; cost is $60.00. Call to register or to book a one-on-one tutorial. Kawartha North Web Portal portal n. a doorway or gate.
