Swim Program!

The Annual Red Cross Swim Program is gearing up for another successful year.  We will be offering Bronze Cross and Bronze Medallion lessons as well.  Registration forms can de downloaded from the Township website,  www.northkawartha.on.ca    Please refer to calendar of events for Swim Lessons schedule.

Video Dance!!  The Apsley Figure Skating Club will be hosting their Annual Video Dance Fundraiser on July 3rd at the Apsley Community Centre.  There will be some changes to the format this year.  The most significant change is that the dances will now be age of majority only. ( 19 and up).   Watch for posters!

Ducks Unlimited will be holding their annual dinner and auction on June 12th at the Apsley Community Centre.  For tickets or details call 656-4311 or 656-4970 or 656-4217.

Medical Centre Fundraising Dance!  On June 19th there will be a Fundraising Dance at the Apsley Community Centre for the purpose of supporting the Medical Centre renovation project.  Watch for Posters!

The Peterborough County Health Unit will be hosting a Food Handlers Training Seminar free of charge at the Apsley Community Centre on June 17th.  Please call 743-1000 to register for this excellent program.

Canada Day Celebrations!  The Annual Lions Canada Day Parade and Celebrations will be held on July 1st. The parade begins at 4pm and entertainment will follow at 5pm in the Apsley Community Centre.  There will be food, activities and live music.
Memberships for the tennis courts at Wilson Park are available on a daily or seasonal basis at the  Big Cedar General Store or the Woodview General Store.  Plan a visit to this park and play some ball, tennis or let the kids play in the playground.

Harold Forbes will be hosting his Annual Boat Wise Course for Youth at the Glen Alda Community Centre on June 26 and 27th.  Please call Harold at 656-2507 for details or to register.

July 26 to August 13 ( Morning Session )
Register at location July 26 from 9:00 to 10:30am.

Quarry Bay Beach   
July 5 to July 23 ( Morning Session )   
Register at location July 5 from 9:00 to 10:30am.

Jacks Lake Landing   
July 26 to August 13 ( Afternoon Session )
Register at location July 26 from 11:30 - 1:00pm.

Fee:    $ 40.00 one child / $ 70.00 two children / $ 95.00 three or more children
    Bronze Medallion / Bronze Cross fee $ 110.00
* all children must be immediate family.

Register at the above dates and locations or in advance at the Municipal Office located in Apsley.  

** Note ** The first day of each 3 week session will be reserved for registration and scheduling. There will be no swim lessons on this day. If you have registered in advance you will receive a phone call on this day notifying you of your lesson time.
