Parks & Recreation Township of North Kawartha 705-656-4922 June 2003 Bike Rodeo! The 3rd annual Bike Rodeo will be held at the Apsley Community Centre on Jun. 8th @ 11am to 3pm. The Rodeo is for pre-school ages to school age youths. This is a free event and is volunteer driven by dedicated hard working people. The Bike Rodeo includes; poster contests, games, obstacle course, bike decoration contest, bike check and repair, magic show and a host of other booths and activities. The Lions Club will be providing a free hot dog and pop to all the participants. Registration forms are available at the Township Office, Apsley School and Community Policing, Big Cedar and Woodview General Stores. Please return forms to any of these locations by June 6th The Annual Red Cross Swim Program is gearing up for another successful year. Registration forms can de downloaded from the Township website, www.northkawartha.on.ca Please refer to calendar of events for Swim Lessons schedule. Video Dance!! The Apsley Figure Skating Club will be hosting their annual Video Dance Fundraiser on June 28th at the Apsley Community Centre. Watch for posters! Ducks Unlimited dinner & auction on June 14th at the Apsley Community Centre. Call 656-4311 or 656-4970 or 656-4217. Wilson Park Improvements! Wilson Park was refurbished
last year with the help of Superbuild funding. The improvements included
new playground equipment, fencing and backstop. This park also boast
tennis courts, horseshoe pits and basketball area. Memberships for
the tennis courts are available on a daily basis at the Big Cedar General
Store or the Woodview General Store. Plan a visit to this park and play
some ball, tennis or let the kids play in the playground.

Fee: $ 40. 1 child / $ 70. for two / $ 95.three or more
Register at the above dates and locations or in advance at the Municipal Office located in Apsley. The first day of each 3 week session will be reserved for registration and scheduling. There will be no swim lessons on this day. If you have registered in advance you will receive a phone call on this day notifying you of your lesson time. There will be no swim lessons on August 4th ( Civic Holiday)
