Apsley Cardiac Support Group

We are a group of people consisting of cardiac patients and our support people.

After experiencing cardiac incidences we found that although the mechanical things were helped by surgery or medicines, there were many mysteries, concerns and unanswered questions which required answers.

In January 2005 we heard about an active cardiac group operating in Cobourg and decided to investigate.  The group meetings in Cobourg were very informative and worthwhile and we thought that heart patients in the Apsley area might benefit from a similar group. In May 2005 we held the first meeting of the APSLEY CARDIAC SUPPORT GROUP.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario (Peterborough Branch) has been very helpful and supportive in providing us with educational material to share at our monthly meetings.

Our meetings happen at the new Apsley Medical Centre on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

All are welcome.
