| OPP Community Reports Burleigh Falls House Fire – Sunday, December 13, 2004 Details on a house fire, reported around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday December 13 not readily available to me earlier. Peterborough County OPP was contacted for traffic control and was not directly involved in the fire investigation. The North Kawartha Fire Department continues to investigate the fire that destroyed a Burleigh Falls family's home. Estimated value of the total loss is expected to be over $200,000.00 Actual cause of the fire has not been determined. Please contact the FireDepartment for further comment. The Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is pleased to announce it has a new administrative leader. Inspector Ed Robertson, a veteran O.P.P. officer with over 30 years service, has been officially appointed as Commander for the Peterborough County O.P.P. Detachment. Inspector Robertson has been the Acting Commander since July 7, 2004. It is with some disappointment I let you know that effective Monday January 10 that I will be seconded to the OPP Provincial Court Office in Peterborough for an indefinite period of time. January 6, I was instructed I would be there Mon - Fri starting Monday January 10, and doing court duties only. Constable Brad Filman will continue with the media relation duties for the foreseeable future and queries should now be directed to him. I have thoroughly enjoyed my media duties, be safe.
