Motivation Linked to Goals
 Roy Allen

There are many ways to motivate people and one of the easiest is by setting goals that are tangible, verifiable, and measurable. People should be controlled to a certain point, but should be allowed to be motivated by their input, along with tasks that are achievable and satisfying. If individuals  achieve their goals, than the overall goals of the organization become a reality.

As a volunteer, motivation is important. It must be made with proper communications, planning, decision making, skill of approach, & a positive attitude. No matter how trivial their task may seem, they must feel that they are an important member of the team. For a job well done take time to express your thanks, which shows appreciation. These are goals for everyone.

As volunteers we have knowledge and experience in a number of professional fields, and these skills are a valuable asset to any organization. To managers, continue to use this valuable resource. To volunteers, continue to work as team and remember what you achieve benefits everyone. So do it with style, do it with enthusiasm, for volunteers are special.

Organization is goal setting, teamwork, attitude, and all the exciting cohesive words that lead to success. Success is satisfaction and satisfaction is harmony and this benefits everyone. As volunteers, I know you can make this happen.

Thank you very much and all the best; and keep working together.
