By now, most of you are aware that our chef of nine years, Gloria Seabrook has moved to Havelock.  We wish her well in her new home, and although we will miss her, we have recruited our very qualified Helen Parberry to prepare our monthly hot meals.  You have our support Helen!

Seniors continued ...

We are in need of volunteers to help prepare lunches and assist on Pot Luck days for the remaining Tuesdays.  Let us know if you would take a turn.

It has been a while since our trip to Hull, Quebec in Sept.  However, the following is a brief report.  Thirty members and friends enjoyed a stay at the new Ramada Plaza Hotel, dined at the L'Assiette Restaurant, and visited the Casino.  The next day included shopping at the Rideau Center, and an interesting steam train ride from Gatineau urban area to Wakefield where they watched a four man crew manually turn the engine on a turntable, 1 of 2 remaining in Canada.  Ideal fall weather prevailed, and a good time was had by all.

Dec. 7th will close our meetings for 2004.  We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.  See you Jan 4th, 2005 for another great dinner.
