Genevieve Post
(Jenny) Nov 15th 1928- Nov. 11,2003 @ P.R.H.C. survived by her 5 children, 10 grandchildren & many great-grandchildren. She was born on Manitoulin Island. Married Garnet Post in 1946. His untimely death in 1965 left her a  widow with a family to raise yet she always had time for others. She received many awards for volunteer service and was instrumental in bringing Community Care to Apsley. A wonderful woman who we will never forget.  



Katie Weldon 1933-Nov 3,2003 @ Ross Memorial Hospital survived by 4 sons & 1 daughter and several grandchildren. Katie was a well known resident of the Apsley area who spent most of the year at her cottage home on Jack’s Lake. She was an active Lion and a member of Trinity United.

On November 9th, Reverend Ruth Knapp-McKee conducted a moving Rememberance Service with Legion members in attendance. President Rick Crosby read out the names of local residents who died in Service in the First and Second world wars. Wreaths were placed at the Altar by Legion members Wendy Crosby, Juanita Kemp and Mary Ellen Wilson.
Christmas Carol Service :  December 14, 2003,  7:00 PM   -  lessons & carols    All are welcome!
Christmas Eve Service:  7:00 PM

Trinity United Church

Sunday @ 11:30 am   Rev. Peter Robinson  Phone(613) 339-3295  Oct. 5 2003, A certificate of appreciation was presented to each  and the congregation extended their congratulations..
 Isobel Tucker was the 1st  Sect. in 1969 and Pres. of UCW in 1973 when the 1st  Annual Dinner was held.  She is still very active in many church functions.
Doreen Scott worked very hard to help get the finances to build our present church. She witnessed the mortgage burning and was church auditor for many years. .
Dorothy Richmond has been an active member of the UCW for many years and is presently Sect.  and acting Pres..
Ann Wilson has served on the church board for a number of years. She has  been church school superintendent and Sunday School teacher. Ann is an active choir member and a dedicated member of the UCW.
Keith Watson is a church trustee. He heads the sale of tickets at the annual dinner. He has helped with the maintenance and repairs of the church.
