The Apsley Lions
by Joan Forsyth
Special focus on the Annual Boat & Motor Draw August 23'rd. It has been a wonderful but busy summer, so far, for our Lions members. The parade was a big success and a lot of fun. Special thanks to the Beautification committee and all those who participated in this community event. The Boat and Motor draw will be held on August 23, 2006 at the Wednesday night bingo. I hope everyone has their ticket as they have been going very rapidly, thanks to our Boat and Motor Committee who have been in town selling every weekend. We appreciate your support. The Lions will be at the Jacks Lake Regatta again this year so will see you there! Have a safe and fun-filled summer while you enjoy our beautiful lakes and countryside. Volunteers are not paid - not because they are worthless, but because their work is priceless ... |
