Spring is in the Air!

The winter season proved to be an excellent one for skiers, snowmobilers and everyone who requires snow for their outdoor activity.   The Apsley Minor Hockey Association and the Apsley Skating Club had fantastic seasons, mainly due to the hard working participants and volunteers.   If you would like to volunteer for one of these Clubs, please call me @ 656-4922 and I can provide you with some details.

We are planning to hold another Fireworks extravaganza at Wilson Park on May 21st.  Last year, unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to rain.  This year, there will be music, food and sparklers for the kids at this popular family event.  The show begins at dusk but get there early.

Soccer registration will begin in April.  Forms will be distributed through the Apsley Public School and will also be available at the Municipal Office.  The season will run from May 5th to June 23rd.   Games will be played on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:15pm at the Apsley Public School.

Aplsey Minor Hockey will be hosting their annual awards banquet on April 8th.

Community Care will be having a volunteer recognition luncheon on April 21st at the Apsley Community Centre.

The Annual Rabies Clinic will be May 14th at the sand dome on McFaddens Rd.  Cost this year is $20.   Please watch for posters.
